I know that you are probably drowning in correspondence but I wanted to drop you an email to say a thank you for your current support.  I know that it is a stressful time and people do not like hearing what is painful to them but we all have to at times and all I am grateful for is that if this all happens as they plan at least it is done in a professional and correct manner for all staff concerned.

This e-mail was from a UNISON member with regards to Sam Dunbobbin, Deputy Branch Secretary. This was following UNISON representation to assist a member with a return to work following a medical absence.

I just wanted to inform you of the standard of service I received from Sam... when I liaised with her regarding advise I required relating to my return back to work after an operation.  Sam contacted Occupational Health and answered my questions and concerns I had ... and will be of work longer that anticipated.

Sam was very polite and professional and got back to me within the hour of me first making contact and put my mind at rest I just wanted to let you know  I was very impressed having been with Essex Police for a number of years this was the first time I have contacted unison for advice she certainly knew her stuff.
